Re-Opening During COVID-19

Hello from home!

You’ve probably heard the news that businesses are being allowed to gradually reopen over the next few weeks. That includes Synergy Acupuncture & Wellness. I couldn’t be more thrilled to finally get to see you again, but I also know that the process of reopening and supporting local businesses feels pretty confusing right now. That’s why I wanted to take a minute to tell you what I’m planning.

Beginning May 26, 2020, I will reopen slowly, step-by-step, and will reassess and readjust weekly. Please note our procedure for scheduling and patient interaction below. If you have any questions, we look forward to hearing from you.

  • Before Arrival

  • I will offer acupuncture services on Monday and Wednesdays from 11:00-5:30, and Fridays from 10:00-3:00 beginning May 26th.

  • If you would like to come in for services, please call, email, or text me to make an appointment. Online scheduling has been temporarily disabled for now.

  • As recommended by the Brazoria County Health Department and the CDC, you still need to have a clean cloth face covering or facemask, regardless of symptoms, before entering the facility. If you do not have a mask please call or text the office prior to your appointment so that I can have a mask available for you before you enter the office.

  • Please wear loose clothing to your appointment that can be rolled up.

  • Please DO NOT come if you have had any symptoms of a cold, virus, bacterial infection, or Covid-19. You will not be charged a late cancel fee. This includes sore throat, muscle aches, chills, fever, cough, nausea, vomiting, and loss of taste or smell. We are relying on your honesty. If anyone in your family has been ill, please do not come in. If you have traveled in the last two weeks, please do not come in. Per the CDC, you need to wait 14 days post-illness to schedule your next appointment.

  • Only patients being serviced are allowed in the clinic during the treatment time. Additional guests should stay in their vehicles until the patient’s service is complete. Exceptions will be made for patients that require an additional person such as a caregiver aide or translation services.

  • Payments: You may request to have an invoice sent to your email address on file prior to your treatment for contactless billing or pay when you arrive for your treatment.

  • My no-show and cancellation policies still apply. To cancel or reschedule, please give me 12 hours notice to avoid the $35 fee. Of course, if you wake up feeling ill on the day of your appointment, these policies don’t apply. Stay home and take care of yourself!

  • Upon Arrival and During the Visit

  • Regardless of symptoms, please put on a clean cloth face covering or facemask before entering the building. If you do not have a mask please call or text the office before you arrive and one will be provided for you.

  • Before entering the treatment room, you will have your temperature taken and be asked if you have had a fever or any symptoms of Covid-19.

  • I will have hand sanitizer available for you and also a sink to wash your hands if needed.

  • The treatment room will have a table in the corner for you to place your personal items.

  • Before getting on the table, please roll up your pant legs above the knee and shirt sleeves above the elbow.

  • During Visit

  • We will forego the use of the table heater. I know you enjoy the warmth it provides but the table warm fabric cannot be cleaned between patients so it will not be used. Heating lamps will still be used to maintain your comfort.

  • The patient and practitioner will wear masks for the whole duration of the visit. This will not be forever and will feel weird but we will get used to it.

  • After each visit, we will use disinfectant wipes to wipe down door handles, massage tables, chairs, and anything else the patient or practitioner has touched.

Please let us know if you have any questions. I look forward to seeing you!
